Quick answer
WonderBoy V Monster World III is a beloved retro platformer for the Sega Mega Drive, known for its colorful graphics and tight gameplay. A second-hand copy is currently available with slight cosmetic wear.
What makes this game special?
WonderBoy V Monster World III is part of the long-running Wonder Boy series, but it stands out as a refined action-platformer with RPG elements. The Mega Drive version is praised for its smooth scrolling and charming monster designs.
Is it rare or hard to find?
Original Mega Drive copies are not extremely rare, but they are less common than many later releases. Condition varies, and many copies show signs of age. The current listing notes slight discoloration on the manual reverse, which is typical for a second-hand cartridge from that era.
Frequently asked questions
- What condition is the game in?
- The listed copy is second hand with very slight discoloration on the manual reverse. The cartridge itself is expected to be fully functional.
- Is the game playable on a North American Mega Drive?
- The Mega Drive is region-locked, so a Japanese copy will not boot on a standard US Genesis without a region adapter or modification. Check your console's compatibility. You may need a region-free adapter or a modded console to play this import.
- How does it compare to other Wonder Boy titles?
- WonderBoy V Monster World III is one of the most polished entries in the series, with larger levels, improved graphics, and a more involved story. It is often considered a highlight of the Mega Drive library.
