Jya Jya Maru Nin

The Ninjutsu combat feels smooth and responsive, and the enemy waves keep you on your toes even after several runs. Getting to unwind at the inn after a chaotic fight gives the game a nice, rewarding rhythm.

The inn-stay reward mechanic is such a clever way to break up the action, and the ninjutsu techniques add a nice layer of strategy to the combat.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed the ninjutsu mechanics, they add a strategic layer that keeps the action from feeling repetitive. The mix of combat and relaxing at the inn is such a unique balance, it really sets this cart apart from other Famicom titles.
